Northrop Grumman Mission Assurance Manager 2 in Huntsville, Alabama

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Mission Assurance Manager to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will perform the following:

Serves as the leader for assuring Mission Success across the entire program.

Participates in key project planning activities, including those related to Safety, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability.

Promotes the professional development of the Mission Assurance team to ensure training needs and career development

Analyzes metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission success.

Participates in project status meetings and management reviews, including PRA Reviews

Plans and manages department's manpower, budget and physical assets.

Plans and implements professional development and career management programs for site MA engineers.

Sets Mission Assurance strategy to ensure success of program in coordination with the customer.

Oversees Software and Hardware development

Oversees Management of suppliers

Provides situational awareness and executive level communication both internally and externally.

Directs and coordinates all Mission Assurance functional disciplines including Program analysis, operations, bid and proposal efforts, Quality Engineering

Leads operations for the Mission Assurance function with geographically dispersed locations inclusive to administration of budgets, schedules, and performance standards as well as leading proposal efforts for the Mission Assurance team.

MAQEA

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University


Eight+ years of industry experience within one or more areas: quality, auditing, manufacturing, engineering and/or software-related field.


Holds Interim Secret or Active Secret DOD Secret Security Clearance. (US Citizenship required.)


Five+ years of experience managing or leading teams.

Preferred Qualifications:


Prior experience in Software Development and Test


Past experience with foreign countries


Experience with technical and project management


ISO 9001, T9001B, and/or AS9100 trained auditor


Advanced Excel skills


Active DOD Secret Security Clearance


Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
