This position is a direct report to the GMD Program Director. As a critical member of the GMD Program Management team, the Deputy Program Manager will chair/support the Program Control Board (PCB) which reviews/approves internal risks and opportunities, Management Reserve requests. The Deputy Program Manager will support Cost Variance Reviews, participate in the development of Sales/Awards forecasting, review/approve planning directives and review change proposals. This position will also closely track Award Fee Criteria and scoring per CLIN. In addition, duties include assisting in Supplier Management reviews for SAMs assessments, Statement of Work reviews, technical evaluation reviews and Supplier award fee criteria. The selected candidate will serve as the backup to the Program Director with leadership and 1Team collaboration responsibilities across various functional organizations.
Additional responsibilities include:
Support contract negotiations. Works closely with the Change Management team in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Work closely with NG functional organizations supporting GMD. Acts as a customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance when the Program Director is not available. Develop solutions for new contract business or expand the product line with the customer.
Bachelor's degree and 10 years hands-on experience
Current DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
Understanding of technical, cost, schedule impacts on a program and ability to support PRAs, customer management reviews, ECP signoffs
Be effective in customer relations, expectation management, building coalitions, negotiations, mentoring senior staff and keeping the program sold with program counterparts.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, written communication and presentations skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts, issues and status to senior company and government leadership
Ability to work in a highly dynamic team environment
Possess all the fundamental attributes of sound program management
Understanding of business development and capture strategies
Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience
Experience in sales/awards forecasting
Proposal development and Proposal negotiations experience
