Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer to join the team. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
The candidate for this technical position will be expected to lead the development of electromagnetic environmental effects (EEE) test procedures, lead the performance of tests, prepare test reports, work with integrated product teams (IPTs) to develop electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) control plans, assist in the analysis of controls with other EEE team members, and input information into various tracking tools (DOORS, CAMEO, CPLM/TeamCenter). Extensive experience in the performance of MIL-STD-461 EMI/EMC tests is required. This position requires skills in coordination of hundreds of tests and testing facilities external and internal to NGC. A high degree of skill in critical decision making is imperative to perform in this environment.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Software discipline from an accredited university with 14 Years of relative experience; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
Active DoD Secret Clearance adjudicated in the last 6 years
Previous MIL-STD-461 testing experience
Experience preparing EMI/EMC control plans, test plans and test reports
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering
Familiarity with MBSE
Expert of systems engineering principles and processes
Expert in CPLM/TeamCenter, CAMEO, and DOORS
Experience with managing/scheduling facilities and equipment
Prior experience leading 5+ person teams
Experience with CPLM/TeamCenter, CAMEO, and DOORS
Strong program execution skills; Demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones.
Ability to integrate, engage, and lead team to perform at top level of performance
Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior management, peers, and employees
