Northrop Grumman Engineer Field 2 - ADAM / AMDPCS - 140A, 14G, 14H, 14J in Huntsville, Alabama
The AMDPCS Tactical Support Program is seeking an Air Defense Field Engineer 2. Selected candidate must have experience with Air Defense Airspace Management (ADAM) and the Air and Missile Defense Planning and control system (AMDPCS). Position will support the customer by providing Subject Matter Expert guidance through the Help Desk and by providing field support CONUS and OCONUS, as needed. Must be able to troubleshoot technical problems and issues, and determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications. Position requires flexibility and willingness to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations. The Field Engineer must be physically able and willing to travel to foreign locations in support of deployed US customers. This support will require the Field Engineer to live on the economy in Middle Eastern countries. Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal; skills and be able to communicate effectively with the customer and management to resolve technical issues. U.S. citizenship, passport and current security clearance is required.
2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters. Four additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. ADAM / AMDPCS experience as either soldier or a contractor, 140A, 14G, 14H, 14J or equivalent experience is desired.
Ability to work independently with minimum guidance/supervision.
Current Secret Security Clearance.
Able to travel and work in CONUS and OCONUS areas.
Candidate must be willing to work in harsh and combat environments.
Willing to deploy to Middle Eastern countries and live on the local economy.
Security Plus certification
Experience in analyzing and evaluating products and related performance, comprehending, analyzing complete problems and developing solutions
Experience conducting product briefings effectively with customer and vendors
Possess extensive experience with Air Defense Systems
Possess a wide and comprehensive understanding with all aspects of the job and practical applications to complex problems and situations
Experience working with established processes and procedures, train, assign and check work for other technicians
Experience leading technical teams to accomplish time critical tasks/events
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
