Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is seeking a Contracts Manager 1 to join its team of qualified, diverse individuals, supporting its Missile Defense & Protective Systems Division (MDPS). The successful applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's MDPS Division contracts organization and will have overall contracts management responsibilities for the Advanced Missions Systems Operating Unit supporting various programs and new business pursuits within the Missile Defense Agency. The successful candidate will be a direct report to Missile Defense Solutions BU Contracts Leadership and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the AMS OU Director, Program Managers, business managers, operations manager, capture managers, and other functional teams throughout the OU. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio from the business development phase through contract closeout, delivering strong customer satisfaction, successful financial performance and risk mitigation. Candidate's ability to build strong customer intimacy and employee engagement is a key priority to assist with the extensive growth in this important business area. The Contract Manager will review and approve contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies and therefore a keen attention to detail is essential. Candidate will also be responsible for planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals. Regular and proactive interface and effective collaboration is required with program, technical and operations organizations in order to provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts, change management discipline and to ensure timeliness of CDRL submissions. The Contract Manager's responsibility includes being able to make decisions in a timely manner, offer guidance and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, supply chain, export and security for seamless contract administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision and management of two (2) to three (3) staff personnel and for providing objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines & general policies while maintaining a strong level of engagement. Contract Manager must be a role model for diversity and inclusion through seeking out and including diverse opinions and perspectives, has the ability to solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources. Successful candidate must also demonstrate commitment and energy to meet customer needs. Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in Contract administration or related field. Knowledge of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations a must. Ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships. Proven track record of strong customer intimacy and engagement is key. Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking skills, problem solving and risk mitigation proficiency is a must. High level of overall "Objectivity" and the impact upon strategy beyond proficiency in administration. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to foster teamwork and be self-motivating. Ability to obtain a Secret or TS clearance required.
