Northrop Grumman Contract Administrator 2 / 3 (Position will be eventually report to Poland) in Huntsville, Alabama

The Missile Defense & Protective Systems Division of Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation has an opportunity for a mid-level Contracts professional to support the operations of the Integrated Fires & Protective Systems Business Unit in Poland with specific focus on a significant international Offset Program. The successful candidate will possess leadership qualities, global perspective and be able to provide responsible advice and counsel on a wide range of moderately complex contractual and business issues under moderate supervision and perform in all matters involving the interpretation and application of company contracting policies and procedures. This global portfolio comprises contract activity in Poland.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for many aspects of a global portfolio spanning cradle to grave activities through closeout, delivering customer satisfaction, building customer relationships and timely responses to both external and internal customers. Demonstrating experience with a global outlook and cultural awareness is key. Knowledge of the Polish language would be a plus, but not required. This position will also require frequent internal company and external contacts, representing the Contracts organization on specific aspects of a major Offset program. Assessing situations and making appropriate recommendations and/or taking appropriate actions. Responsibility for prioritizing tasks/proposal activities and working on multiple tasks simultaneously is key. Ensuring that contractual risks are identified and mitigated with appropriate contract provisions. Serve as key business advisor to the program manager on contractual and operational matters related to Offset projects. Planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a moderately complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable international terms and conditions to assist in mitigating risk and meeting overall financial goals. Successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, will seek requisite management guidance as necessary and will report directly to the Operating Unit Contracts Manager. Negotiating skillfully in difficult situations, producing sound international contract terms and conditions, contract amendments/modifications, which are expected to mitigate/minimize company risks for a moderately complex contract. Responsibility includes being able to make decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines and pressure, offers guidance and work collaboratively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, global supply chain, global mobility office and security for seamless contract administration.

This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama initially and after contract award will be located in Warsaw, Poland.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's with 3 years of experience in Contract administration or related field. or 1 year with a Masters degree. Knowledge of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations a must. Ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships. Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills.The ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
