Northrop Grumman Engineering Systems and Integration (ESI) business unit is a seeking a creative, skilled and motivated multifaceted Network Security Engineer to join our team. This position offers an opportunity for the right candidate to develop network operational design.
The successful candidate shall be able to troubleshoot, upgrade and implement improvements to the entire enclave, to include but not limited Cisco, Juniper, VMWare, Windows and Linux OS. Establishing and Maintaining Network Operations and Security Operations through best practices, industry recommendation and government requirements.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below .
This requisition may be filled as either a Network Security Engineer or Principal Network Security Engineer.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related degree with a minimum 2 years of related experience(Principal level requires 5 Years with a BS)
Demonstrated experience with network security, design, and troubleshooting network applications on multiple platforms in an enterprise domain
DoD 8570 IA level 2 certifications required
Demonstrated experience with Network/Security Operation Center(s) and with IPSEC/ISAKMP Protocols
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Network Certifications from Industry Standards (Example: Cisco Certified, CCNA, CCDA, CCDP, JNCP, etc.)
In depth understanding of Cisco and Juniper based environments
Dynamic routing with OSPF, EIGRP and security highly ideal
Experience with NOC/SOC design, administration, functionality, and recovery
In depth understanding of Type 1 encryption configuration
Strong interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to help guide team as well as work independently and networking tasks will include working with our customer on and as part of the larger team.
Self-starter with the ability to take on complex and challenging tasks with minimal direction, remain current on emerging technologies trends, while driving for innovation.
