Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Global Strategy and Relations organization. This position will be located in Herndon, VA.
The Executive Assistant will be a key member of a small high performing team responsible for creating the strategy for the $5B Technology Services Sector. The team is responsible for preparing a Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) each year which is briefed to Corporate and which sets the strategic direction for the Sector. This requires extensive analysis of markets, trends, and capabilities which is used to develop detailed actionable strategies. Team members are all expected to collaborate and creatively and analytically contribute together. The team is also responsible for Government and Customer Relations in the US and globally.

The applicant must be self-motivated and take on assignments in a comprehensive fashion and follow up to ensure all angles are covered and potential issues addressed and be organized and have an ability to prioritize work in order to meet schedules. Speed, quality, accuracy, detail oriented and efficiency are key attributes. We look for someone who asks questions and wants to learn and understand the overall process. As a team player we look to someone we can rely on to pitch in to help the team function at its highest level, executing all tasks in a comprehensive and thoughtful manner. As a representative of the team we look for this role to have strong communication skills, working with all levels of management within a corporation. This position may require occasional nonstandard work hours in support of business schedules.
Daily functions include:
Making complex and changing travel arrangements
Preparing and seeing through complicated expense reports
Managing calendars and deconflicting schedules
Scheduling meetings, including with large teams, executives and Corporate
Organizing and managing the department sharecenters and resources
Coordinating customer interface
Providing briefing/presentation support.
Serving as a focal point for communication and distribution of information amongst the GSR staff.
Tracking action items and deadlines
Additional responsibilities include:
Support to presentation development, including potential graphics creation
Internet research and data gathering and synthesis
Sharecenter development and management
Bachelor’s degree with 0 to 2 years of experience in the administrative or professional field or an Associates degree with 2 to 4 years experience in the administrative or professional field or a highSchool Diploma and aminimum of six years additional experience in the administrative professional field may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) as well as Sharepoint / Sharecenter applications, internet proficiency, Concur and I-Buy or related applications.
Ability to compile and generate reports and presentations.
Ability to complete a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to efficiently coordinate Outlook calendar and other routine items.
Prior experience coordinating both on-site and off-site meetings and/or events.
Proactive, highly motivated and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
