Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Communications Specialist to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals. This position will be based in Herndon, Virginia.

Reporting to the Capture Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for planning, researching, developing, writing, editing and executing high quality, accurate and timely communications content for strategic and pursuit specific campaigns and deliverables across multiple channels. Candidates must be prepared to thrive in a dynamic environment that demands innovative thinking and the use of multiple tools to effectively communicate and engage all relevant stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Helps to develop integrated communication plans in support of the sector's key priorities

  • Creates and curates omni-channel content for email, press releases, social and digital media, program news, presentations, newsletters, talking points, announcements, video and other outreach efforts and manages the integrated planning of content delivery across these channels

  • Coordinates closely with internal partners and key stakeholders to gain consensus on communications goals and objectives

  • Manages outreach for the sectors subject matter experts (SMEs) and coordinate the sector's thought leadership activities including maintaining SME biographic summaries and relevant examples

  • Works with the trade show logistics team to ensure messaging and media relations activities are coordinated

  • Adheres to consistent processes and templates for developing, managing and delivering communications content across all channels in compliance with Northrop Grumman Corporation design, style and brand standards.

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related business discipline.

Minimum of 3 years relevant full-time experience.

Occasional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience working in or with military, defense, government and/or aerospace-oriented industries

Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization

Demonstrated writing experience using AP Style
