Northrop Grumman Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator 2 (Afghanistan) in International,

Remote operations of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). External Operations require visual acquisition and control of the aircraft using a flight control box. Air Vehicle Operations are conducted through the use of a computerized ground control station and data link antenna system.

Primary responsibilities include launch and recovery operations as an External Operator (EO). Additional responsibilities include duties as an Air Vehicle Operator (AVO) for mission flight execution of the aircraft. Plans and analyzes flight missions. Performs pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight checks and procedures. Performs takeoff and landing procedures. Stores and retrieves intelligence data using computer. May oversee and assist in air frame repair.

Knowledgeable of aircraft systems and aerodynamics. Knowledge of flight procedures, navigation, data link theory, aviation terminology, radio discipline, and advanced airmanship. Capable of developing and evaluating procedures. Performs flight tests as required. Will provide direct liaison with U.S. Army personnel.

Other duties as assigned. Coordinates flight operations efforts. May conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or other personnel to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.

This position will require travel to international locations for a period of up to 1 year, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:HS Diploma/GED in related field and 2 years of applied R/C or UAV experience.

Must be able to obtain a class II FAA flight physical and be medically cleared to deploy to OCONUS location (Medical requirements available upon request).

Final Secret Clearance required within one year of hire date. Interim Secret Clearance required prior to completing initial training.

Preferred Qualifications:

Unmanned Systems Operations experience. Pilot training and certifications
