Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Fort Leavenworth, KS is currently seeking a Principal Cyber Information Systems Analyst
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifying where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigates, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the results and analysis of the results. Periodically conducts a complete review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Selected candidate will assist with our CIO and Government ISSM customer with the implementation of required Government System Security Plans, Policies, Procedures and all other security related documentation. Partners with the facility ISSO/ISSM to gather organization performance metrics, documents and streamlines relevant processes & procedure and train / mentor junior ISSOs within the team.
Will coordinate, collect, prepare, and maintain RMF Body of Evidence (BoE) on multiple network enclaves in support of customer requirements.
Reviews Information System (IS) assessments achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as Nessus / SCAP vulnerability scans, with junior ISSOs performing the assessments
Documents the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepares updates the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) as necessary
Conducts a complete review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all are closed; reports, documents and escalates any actions that cannot be corrected to Supervisor, Manager, Government ISSO or ISSM as necessary.
Ensures internal organization is current on all required training and/or certification requirements and tracks any new requirements involving certification and training
Basic Qualifications
One of the following
Bachelors in Science with 5 years of Experience
Masters degree with 3 years of experience
PHD with 0 years of experience
Must have a DoD 8570 IAM level II, or level III, security certification (examples: CAP, CASP CE, CISM, GSLC, CISSP Associate, or CISSP); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and applications
Strong Troubleshooting skills
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clerance
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and/or bachelor's degree in cyber security and 3-5 years of experience with Certification and Accreditation of classified systems and Risk Management Framework
Familiarity with the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) Suite to include Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
Knowledge of ACAS, NESSUS, SPLUNK, SCAP , STIG Viewer, HBSS, system auditing, vulnerability scanning preferred
Possess limited amount of knowledge of POA&Ms, NIST, Compliance Auditing, Security Testing and Evaluations (ST&E), and System Security Plans (SSPs), Procedures and Policies
Salary Range: $90,400 - $135,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
