Northrop Grumman Financial Strategy and Corporate Development Analyst in Falls Church, Virginia

The Financial Analyst, Corporate Financial Strategy and Planning role provides analytical support for major corporate actions in support of the executive management team and Board of Directors. Examples of these actions include: capital management decisions, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other special projects.

The Financial Analyst is involved in long-range strategic/financial planning, performing peer competitive analyses, and evaluating the position of the company's business portfolio. In addition, the Financial Analyst will have significant involvement and provide support for corporate development initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and related projects. The role involves coordination with internal and external parties, including investment bankers, consultants, corporate and sector strategic and financial planners, and other business management functions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Master's degree or CPA may be traded for 2 years of experience. Master's degree and a CPA may be traded to a total of 3 years of experience.

  • Public Accounting, and/or investment banking experience IF directly relevant may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.

  • Advanced financial modeling, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, CPA, and/or CFA preferred.

  • Intensive analytical/transaction experience.

  • Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
