Northrop Grumman Staff Engineer Software - TS/SCI Needed in Fairfax, Virginia

Space Systems Sector, Payload and Ground Systems Division is constantly improving our software product lines to increase our value and brand recognition with our customers. We have a need for a Staff Software Engineer to be the technical lead for one of our strategic product lines called Everseer.

Everseer is a mission proven scheduling application which is utilized on several important programs. The software Staff Software Engineer will lead developers from each team to meet program requirements as the team implements DevSecOps best practices to refine and maintain the application to deliver value and savings to current and future programs.This role is a great place for a skilled engineer to make an impact both technically and for the business's strategic goals.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Position is availble in Fairfax, VA; Redondo Beach, CA; Morrisville, NC; Linticum MD and Baltimore MD

Salary for CO:

  • Salary Minimum: $148,512

  • Salary Maximum: $222,768

  • Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Qualifications:

Information must be specific and include all required skills and experience necessary on the first day of work in this role. Include education requirements, clearance information, certifications and/or systems experience that is/are needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree (and appropriate experience levels for the chosen code or substitutes)

  • •Leading software architecture for a reusable product line. (currently mostly in Java)

  • •AWS cloud deployment expertise

  • •Leading teams in configuration management (GIT and CI/CD tools).

  • •Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence optimal group outcomes

  • •TS/SCI clearance and network access

Preferred qualifications:

  • Algorithm development

  • •Strong understanding of space and intelligence communities
