Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Field Technician 4 to join our team. This position is located in Elkridge, MD. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Postal Services Biohazard Detection System Group. The applicant will provide system administer support to an electro-mechanical system nationwide within our Customer's facilities. In addition to providing system administer support, the Field Technician 4 will be performing the following.
Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator
Manage and maintain operations of Windows servers 2019 server and Windows 10 workstations
Install, harden, and patch Windows operating systems
Develop and document technical procedures
Read, modify, and create Windows batch and PowerShell scripts
Travel to customer site in support of troubleshooting, testing, and deployment activities
Manage BDS EDN low trust network, add and remove servers, site controllers, and cabinets
Build BDS Site Controller and Cabinets
Apply Hotfixes, Security patches, virus definitions, certificate renewals, and BDS software builds
Support the Engineering test when qualifying the new hardware
Test, install and document Quarterly Hotfixes and security patches
Analyzes requests for Hotfixes, security patches, updates
Analyzing Security Scan tests and Hotfixes in Lab and production environments
OS upgrades and third-party software integrations
Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the BDS Program
Be available to take calls from customer to help troubleshoot sites over the phone
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
Candidate must have extensive software installation and troubleshooting skills and experience.
Must have computer skills, specifically in the area of working with site server and the Internet.
Must have some electro-mechanical installation and troubleshooting skills and experience.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and flexibility with this position.
Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – US Citizenship required.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and physical exam.
Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
Moderate experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management
Moderate experience managing Windows failover clusters

Salary Range: $71,400 - $119,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
