Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Operations Project Manager / Principal Operations Project Manager for our Troy Hill campus located in Elkridge, MD .
You have experience working with teams, effective communication skills, and the ability to schedule work plans to meet scheduled commitments. You are comfortable working in a fast pace, demanding manufacturing environment and able to adhere to safety and safe shop practices. You adapt and work independently to meet short term requests and provide reporting on multiple programs to a variety of customers with limited supervision.

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning and presentation skills are required
Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others

What You’ll get to Do:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
Duties include setting and meeting sales objectives; monitoring costs, tracking material consumption, replenishments, and interplant shop orders; and ensuring the program performance meets the terms and conditions of the contract
Customer interface extends to external and internal customers: responding to customer inquiries, providing customized status reports, acting as liaison between the Logistics Programs and Manufacturing Operations to ensure the timely repair and return of government assets and material
Facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, and problem resolution
Basic Qualifications: Level 2
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment, Master’s degree with experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment, 6 years of experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of a degree
Prior experience supporting programs in a production environment
Prior experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
Working knowledge with releasing M903s, M924s, and other MRP documents
Exposure and knowledge of Lead Time Planning, Material Visibility & Planning Tool (MVP)
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret level security clearance for which U.S. Citizenship is required
Basic Qualifications: Level 3
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment, Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment, 9 years of experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of a degree
Ability and willingness to travel domestically/internationally when required
Prior experience supporting programs in a production environment
Experience in proposal roles and responsibilities
Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership and earned value management (EVM)
Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point
Specifically, MD04
Prior experience releasing M903s, M924s, and other MRP documents
Specifically, the New Workflow Process
Prior experience in Lead Time Planning, Material Visibility & Planning Tool (MVP)
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret level security clearance for which U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Secret level security clearance
Experience interpreting engineering drawings
Technical background
Experience in (MES) (or related) and GOLD knowledge
Experience working with radar-related technologies
Operational and sustainment repair support experience
Material management experience
Cost Account Manager (CAM) Certification
Vendor and logistics/supply chain experience
BS in Business, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
People leadership and familiarity with DOD Operations

Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900
Salary Range 2: $102,400 - $153,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
