Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager 2 to lead our Vendor Repairs and Sustainment Team located at our Troy Hill facility in Elkridge, MD .
What You’ll get to do:
Responsible for oversight of the vendor repair team in placing compliant Purchase Orders for repair of returned units.
Lead all Vendor Repair activities needed to meet program requirements
Act as a logistics facilitator to ensure all elements of the distribution process are coordinated in such a way that customer requirements and time constraints are met.
Coordinate with Production and Repairs, to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timely to meet repairs and engineering requirements.
Facilitate self-directed work teams and interact with internal and external customers.
Managing the materials team responsible for sustainment requirement fulfillment, tracking purchased parts and expedites to support various contractual obligations.
Problem resolution, and process improvement, and provide direction and training.
Monitor functional and organizational metrics and look for areas of improvements.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Maintains ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive process control, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
Encourage and provide direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience working in a Manufacturing and/or Production Environment; Master's degree with 6 years of experience working in a Manufacturing and/or Production Environment; (12 years of experience working in a Manufacturing and/or Production Environment may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Prior experience managing and/or leading people/teams
Experienced in presenting to executive staff / leadership
Good understanding of production and repairs concepts in a manufacturing environment
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Act in a SME capacity with respect to procurement and compliance
Experience placing purchase orders and managing suppliers in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of Government Supply Chain Management systems and requirements
A working knowledge of GOLD Esp
A working knowledge of SAP Material module
Active U.S. Secret Security Level Clearance
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Salary Range: $119,800 - $179,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
