Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Analyst2 to work in El Segundo, California.

The Modeling and Simulation Analyst 2 will support the development of modeling and simulation for system performance and architecture.

Essential Duties

  • SW developer with modeling, simulation, and analysis experience to support demonstration and visualization activities and projects

  • Modeling and Simulation experience with Matlab and/or Python

  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide analysis for contract efforts as well as research and development activities

  • Strong analytical thinking and systems/SE approach

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and2+ years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment

  • Modeling and Analysis experience in Matlab or other related modeling tools

  • Experience with C, C++, Perl or Python

  • Work experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Active In-Scope DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Operational Research, Applied Mathematics

  • Demonstrated modeling and analysis experience working space program

  • Working knowledge in various aspects of architecture modeling for Space and/or Unmanned Aerial Systems

  • Possesses strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
