Northrop Grumman Manager, Program Review Audit in El Segundo, California

Northrop Grumman is looking for a Manager 2, Program EAC Review Audits. This individual will report to the Director of Operational Assurance and is responsible for leading a team comprised of individuals with backgrounds in program control, finance, risk management, engineering and auditing. The Program EAC Review Audits include assessments of program and contract estimates at complete (EACs), risk and opportunity management, revenue recognition practices, earned value management, U.S. Government and commercial contracts and supply chain management practices, and general reviews of sound program management practices.

This position will interface with key process owners and senior business leaders across all Northrop Grumman Sectors as we help provide Senior Management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors assurance that we are performing on our program commitments, while adding value through the identification of opportunities for improvement and best practices that can be shared throughout the corporation. As part of the effort to share best practices, this individual will support the Director on key corporate councils (Corporate Program Management Council, Earned Value Management Council, etc).

Additionally, the individual selected for this position will provide mentoring and support for staff in multiple locations as they execute the key assurance role of internal audit while supporting their career goals.

Responsibilities for the position will include, but are not limited to:

Develop the program review audit plan to focus on key program risk areas for the corporation. Maintain awareness of all Northrop Grumman programs and leading indicators to identify programs trends that require inclusion on the audit plan.

Plan and coordinate program review audits to focus on key programmatic, financial and technical risk areas. Incorporate Data Analytics of Program Data to identify issues and risk areas.

Responsible for the engagement, professional development, performance and compliance of Program Review audit staff.

Coordinate, collaborate and support the Director of Operational Assurance in actions associated with the CPMC and/or EVMS Council and share trends on Program EAC Audits.

Own final audit documentation and review audit work papers for quality, relevance, and completeness.

Provide value added input to management by enhancing the program review audit practices with focus on identification of risk and best practices.

Work closely with the sectors to identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that can be deployed on program review audit teams.

As required, Manager will be expected to brief with executive level management on audit findings, status of audit plan, and opinion reviews.

Recruit, build and organize audit teams in support of ongoing internal audit plans.

Enhance leadership development opportunities for the internal audit staff.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of previous audit or relevant experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of audit or relevant experience.

Led a team in a lead capacity either as a manager or as a team lead for a project or audit

Active Secret security clearance.

Must demonstrate a solid and deep understanding of programs and contracts, including program and risk management practices, EAC development and analysis, and EVMS theory and practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Business or Engineering/Technical discipline; Master's preferred

Prior management experience

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent.

Top Secret Clearance with SCI.
