Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an Actuation Systems Engineer 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will lead a growing statement of work within the Subsystem RE team in Palmdale, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, requirements development, conceptualization and lay-out; design trade-off, actuator integration, and detail design and analysis of Actuation Systems. Assignment will include coordination with the Structures IPT, the Subsystems IPT leader, the customer Technical Integration Team, and suppliers.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum of 9+ years engineering experience.
Direct, relevant technical experience, in the mechanisms and actuation systems disciplines
Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
A minimum of 12 years of engineering experience
Expert knowledge in mechanisms and actuation systems
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Masterâ€™s Degree or PhD in Engineering
Prior technical and supplier management experience with a track record as a member of a team responsible for integrating air vehicle systems within schedule, labor and material cost requirements is preferred
Experience with leading the design, development, and implementation of mechanical actuation subsystems, as well as a working knowledge of complex mechanical/electrical subsystems and integration of subsystems hardware into vehicle systems is desirable
