Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an EHS Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

The EHS Engineer interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Writes and updates environmental, health, and safety and spill-control manuals and internal procedures. Prepares and applies for new permits and renewals. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations. Tracks and follows regulatory changes and determines impacts to the site. Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standards. Investigates, prepares, and forwards as required reports on injuries and illnesses.


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science degree and 2 years experience with implementing environmental health and safety programs; OR a Master's degree in an environmental health and safety related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in aerospace manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with aerospace and manufacturing specific rules and regulations.
