Northrop Grumman Cyber Systems Engineer 3 in El Segundo, California

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring that Hardware-in-the-Loop Test Station and Software Development

  • Environment is made operational and available, at times specified by the customer

  • Collecting and reporting system data metrics

  • Ensuring the system is configured in accordance with the Program's Configuration and Data Management Plans

  • Providing software maintenance, and installing software upgrades and patches

  • Ensure Lab Operations Policy and Procedures as being executed and updated (E0-7409 and Lab Ops Standard Operating Procedures)

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with5 years of experience; OR an Associate's degree with7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with9 years of experience is required.

  • Experience in VMware environment

  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification

  • Current Active (DoD) Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and Special Program Access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Information Assurance experience

  • Linux Red Hat version 6/7 Administration experience coupled with certification

  • Network+/Window OS certification

  • Active DoD Top Secret
