Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Composites Production Tool Worker to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. This role is located in El Segundo, CA.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the layout, setup and construction of composite production tooling; under the control and direction of higher classified labor grades.

This selected candidate will be required to layout, fabricate and assemble all types of tools; tools with angles and mold line contours.

The selected candidate will be able to:

  • Interpret tool designs, sketches and engineering drawings and have a working knowledge of simple shop math.

  • Relay and receive information.

  • Collaborate in a team environment.

  • Negotiate and integrate different viewpoints on complex issues.

  • Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED and2 years experience working with tools.

  • Basic working knowledge of composite/ fiberglass tooling.

  • Basic working knowledge of blueprints, tool designs and engineering drawings.

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • Proficient in math

  • Able to wear respirator of other safety gear

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of college courses

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
