This Systems Engineering Manager 2 will support Strike Program Change Integration efforts primarily as a Configuration and Data Management (CDM) leader tasked with executing Configuration Status Accounting (CSA). This position is functionally aligned under the Systems Engineering Directorate executing CSA statement of work (SOW) within the Northrop Grumman Strike Division. This role is located in Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
Oversee team of approximately 5 people in the Strike CSA Team and providing day-to-day assignments
Briefing to and coordinating with numerous company and customer stakeholders
Demonstrating expert technical knowledge over SOW areas
Setting the team’s strategic vision and executing its tactical approach
Mentoring and training team leads
Measuring and evaluating performance
Assisting with staffing and performance management
Managing to cost and schedule
Provide daily tasking and direction to team members and ensure that required resources (training, tools) are in place
Provide timely feedback to team, and help to eliminate roadblocks when necessary
Ensure that CDM team executes all CSA requirements in the program Configuration Management Plan CSA deliverables throughout the product lifecycle as well as fulfilling existing CDM program processes and plans in accordance with NGAS sector processes and our customer statement of work.
Support conformance review and release of rapid turn flight test engineering
Travel will be required minimum 25%.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelor of Science and 9 years of professional/military experience in Systems Engineering OR a Master’s Degree and 7 years experience
Must have an Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to start.
Must possess a thorough understanding Systems Engineering fundamentals and Configuration Status Accounting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Expert knowledge of the CDM sub-discipline of Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
NDIA certification in Configuration and Data Management
Experience working in a process-oriented environment
Have current access to the Strike Program
Salary Range: $125,500 - $188,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
