Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Flight Test Tech 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Edwards Air Force Base, CA.

This position will support the RQ4 Global Hawk Flight Test Program at Edwards AFB. Edwards CA.

Essential Functions:

The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance on the RQ4 Global Hawk. The maintenance includes but is not limited to avionics, electrical, instrumentation and integrated systems and subsystems. Maintenance actions will include troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, wiring repair, wire harness manufacture and routing, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various Air Vehicle systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, RQ4 Tech Orders series maintenance manuals (T.Os), and NGC processes and procedures. Modification work will include installation, upgrades to, and the removal of components. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to complete all required documentation such as NGC and USN records and maintenance action forms.

Other duties include Launch and Recovery operations, Ground Support Equipment operation and Ground Test support. This position may require the individual to work overtime as well as travel off-site.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or 2 year technical degree along with a minimum of 6 years of flight test/flight operations experience

OR

A minimum of 8 years' experience in flight test/flight Operations in lieu of the technical degree

  • An active Department of Defense Interim Secret Security Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Air Force and Evaluation maintenance experience.

  • Experience with IMDS/CAMS, MES, Teamcenter
