Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Cost/Control Analyst Staff to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Dulles VA and support the Tactical Space Systems Division.
The Cost/Control Analyst will interact with various operating unit, business area, and division staff to support project planning and control and variance analysis and meet reporting requirements. In addition, the Analyst will interface with program managers, control account managers (CAMs), accounting, contracts, subcontracts, and procurement organizations, as well as external customers to address operational and maintenance issues with program. Communicating with managers, functional management, control account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Providing guidance on policies and procedures.
Leading financial management, including forecasting, planning, estimate-at-complete (EAC) maintenance, program control/Earned Value Management (EVMS), and ad hoc analyses and reporting.
Setting up and maintaining cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
Performing analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Supporting the Control Account Managers (CAMs) in the Variance Analysis Reporting (VAR) process.
Leading the Baseline Change Control process by working with CAMs, Schedulers and other staff to document and implement change requests into the cost management system (Cobra).
Working with Control Account Managers to prepare budgets and schedules and forecasts for contract work and perform and/or assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
Performing monthly, quarterly and annual Estimates at Complete (EACs).
Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) deliverables, Financial Planning and Reporting, Process Improvements and Proposal Support.
Supporting program IPMR reporting with an integrated cost, schedule, and performance database synchronized with enterprise and program business rhythms and requirements.
Effectively communicating with leadership and customers regarding financial status, metrics and deliverables.
Participating in knowledge transfer and best practices sharing with peers.
Assisting in preparing for internal and external audits.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 13+ years of related professional experience. An additional four years' experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Earned Value Management System (EVM) experience and customer reporting.
Experience with Deltek Cobra Reporting Tool
Experience in cost management, finance management, or pricing & estimating.
Experience successfully managing and producing data with strict deadlines.
Experience with financial analysis and/or cost analysis reporting.
Strong PC skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
Strong analytical ability.
Current Top Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Experience in DoD setting with understanding of government Cost Accounting - Standards, FAR, & DFARs.
Experience with program planning/scheduling.
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Experience with Power BI.
Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.
Salary Range: $132,700 - $199,100
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
