Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Talent Management Consultant. This position will be based in Dulles, VA, Linthicum, MD, Chandler, AZ, or Redondo Beach, CA. This position reports to the Manager of Talent Management & Development on the Space Systems Organization Effectiveness (OE) team.
Scope and Responsibilities:
The Talent Management Consultant will partner with OE and HR leadership to develop a robust, diverse pipeline of leaders ready to deliver on NGC's business strategies. The individual will also play a critical role in leading change initiatives in support of enterprise and sector talent strategies.
Job Duties:
Partner with OE leadership to develop the talent management strategy to support sector business objectives
Lead sector talent management processes in partnership with the Enterprise Talent Management & Development team to identify and develop individuals for future leadership positions
Perform succession management operations to support talent reviews, talent development and movement, and leadership program nominations
Develop and implement solutions to address sector talent management priorities gaps in the talent pipeline
Play a key change management role to help the sector adopt new talent practices and tools, including the implementation of Workday
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in human resources, org development, business, or related field of study and 10 or more years of talent management, OE, OD or similar experience; OR a master's degree in human resources, org development, business, or related field of study and 8 or more years of talent management, OE, OD or similar experience
Experience or knowledge of succession management, talent assessment, and leadership development
Experience leading change initiatives with an orientation to HR processes
Strong relationship-building and consultative skills
Ability to apply project management discipline to organize and manage work
Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality
Occasional travel required (up to 25%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Human Resources Business Partner or other CoE(s) is strongly desired
Prior experience in consulting a plus
Experience developing and delivering training a plus
Experience working with highly skilled technical talent a plus
