Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Successful candidates for this position will act as both Deputy Mission Manager and Cost Account Manager to support development for a next generation ground system in the National Security Systems (NSS) business area. This is an excellent opportunity for early career leaders and/or aspiring managers. The Raptor program is considered a center-of-excellence for ground software development developing innovative tools to aid operators with planning spacecraft maneuvers and supporting vehicle activities, as well as monitoring the progress and safety of the mission.
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret clearance.
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar) and 5+ years of experience, or a Masters degree in Engineering and 2 years of experience.

Scope management and allocation support to program management
Understanding of the scope of the program
Working with leads and individual contributor to ensure scope is appropriately charged
Conducting and coordinating variance analysis; working with subject matter experts and leads to understand the true root causes of variance; translation of findings into customer deliverable explanations
Understanding of program technical content sufficiently to support program management and leads in detailed planning of program technical scope in an Agile rolling wave construct
Support to program management and subcontract management to ensure subcontract compliance, adequate and accurate reporting, and consistent completion of subcontractor scope
Experience supporting cost account management, business process analysis, and/or program management support on EVM/EVMS compliant programs with Agile software development underpinning EVM/EVMS reporting
Update and maintain risk management tools based on technical and program management direction; incorporate the outputs of those tools into program management data processes and reporting
