Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineer to join the Space Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Dulles, VA.
Systems engineers who come to the National Security Space (NSS) Business Unit are tasked with challenging assignments that directly influence the various cutting edge programs that are being worked at the Dulles campus. The advantage of being a Systems Engineer is its broad scope within any given space program. This discipline also exists in all phases of a standard program as well (Pre-Proposal, Proposal Writing, Requirements/Verification Maturation, Bus/Payload Development, Software testing, Assembly, Integration and Testing, Launch Operations, Mission Operations). Not only is this advantageous from a discipline perspective (you get to be involved in all phases of the program), but the sheer number of programs on campus means that everyone stays extremely busy! Therefore, the systems engineering intern or early career hire will work hand in hand with a more experienced systems engineer on tasking that directly is beneficial to the program in terms of milestone delivery, customer delivery, or operating efficiency of a program.
