Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a Systems Engineer Requirements Lead position. This position will be located in Colorado Springs CO.

Providing direction and oversight for the Systems Engineering requirements management activities, in addition to performing many of the day-to-day requirements management tasks
Flow-down technical tasking / priorities of Program Management and Chief Engineer
Establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program risks and obtain solutions to include allocation of resources
Leading requirements development and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system
Defining program-specific DOORS schema, processes and procedures
Training less experienced personnel on the use of program-specific DOORS schema, processes and procedures
Requirements solicitation, derivation, and decomposition to lower level subsystems and components
Maintaining system and component baselines in a requirement management system
Defining the relationships between internal and external components
Communicating the desired component relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
Generating system/element level functional, performance, and interface specifications and technical documentation, and participating in system requirements reviews.
Reviewing system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
Supporting the system modeling needed to define system interfaces, requirements and behaviors and providing support to system design
Participating in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions, commercial hardware or software components, and preferred course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery
Supporting the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing
Providing support to the test team development and conduct of formal testing
Participating in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor is appropriate
Participating in project technical risk analysis and mitigation
Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 5 years of systems engineering experience; or 3 years experience with a Masters degree in same discipline
Active Secret clearance is required for this position
Experience in defining DOORS schema, processes and procedures
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
There is no relocation for this position. This position is contingent based on award and/or funding.
Familiarity with MBSE/SysML modeling tools (such as PTC Integrity Modeler)
Familiarity with DOORS Digital Model synchronization tools
Familiarity with Agile software development methodology
Experience leading requirements management activities through all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle
Familiarity with ground-based radars such as Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) and/or Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) Senior Systems Analyst (SA).
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment
Self-starter - efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent tasks
Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
