Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer 4. This position will be with our Technology Services sector located in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will perform systems engineering and modeling and simulation on missile systems. This includes the following:
Develop and lead a model based systems engineering team
Develop models of missile systems to determine performance capabilities
Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical, software and integrated systems
Develop reports of analyses that document the work performed
Interface with internal and external customers
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
9+ years of related experience with a Bachelors in Science; or 7+ years with Masters
Must have demonstrated technical writing experience and be capable of writing technically and grammatically correct documentation
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Master's Degree in a technical discipline
Holds a current DoD Top Secret Clearance
Experience with any of the following tools and languages: CORE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, Easy Power, Prima Vera, UML, SysML, UPDM, OOSEM, Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Methodology / Method (or just Object-Oriented Systems Engineering), PTC Integrity Modeler, Artisan Studio
Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems, missile systems, or launch vehicles
Experience with a 3 degree of freedom trajectory simulation tool such as TAOS or POST
Self-directed and able to work independently and with a team
