Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Field Service Representative at the level 3 to join the JTAGS-P3I team located in Colorado Springs, CO. The JTAGS FSR role requires a broad array of knowledge and skills heavily focused on systems administration, HW/SW troubleshooting, 24/7 customer support, comprehensive corrective/preventative maintenance, as well as routine direct customer interaction. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving, dynamic environment. The candidate's primary role will be working out of the JTAGS Support Facility based in Colorado Springs, CO and deploying to the JTAGS operational sites for up to 90-day rotations to provide on-site technical support.

Our ideal candidate will possess prior DoD experience and have a general knowledge and understanding of implementing practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. The selected candidate will represent Northrop Grumman and the JTAGS program at the forward locations. The candidate must be a self-starter, with the ability to work in the absence of direction without supervision, and with limited instruction on any new work or special assignments. Typical duties and tasks for this role are varied and are moderately complex. The candidate will provide comprehensive support to the fielded JTAGS sites, with the ability to address/resolve most customer questions/issues in real-time.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies all aspects of the JTAGS System.

  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at the field locations.

  • Provides real-time technical support to the warfighter on all aspects of the JTAGS system (HW/SW) at customer and field locations.

  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.

  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves system issues in a minimum amount of time.

  • Installs, upgrades, and modifies the fielded systems to maintain HW/SW baseline across all sites.

  • Initiate, Monitor, Track and Work service tickets thru resolution.

  • Routinely provides Situation Reports (SITREPS) to NG leadership and customer stakeholders

  • JTAGS Support Facility 24/7 on-call support (distributed amongst team, when not providing on-site support)

  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.

  • Provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

The candidate must be able to work well in a team environment and be able to adapt quickly to change. The candidate must be a US citizen, hold an active DOD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program IAT Level II Technical Level Certification (Security + CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) and hold an active DOD Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience in Engineering OR Master of Science Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 3 years of experience in Engineering OR an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required with additional experience)

  • Active DOD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program IAT Level II Technical Level Certification (Security + CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSC

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years.

  • Knowledge of server architecture and data processing hardware

  • Ability to perform System Integration and communicate complex technical concepts to program leadership.

  • Linux command line experience

  • Window OS experience

  • Familiarity with Cyber information assurance guidelines and practices.

  • Experience with rackmount HW installations.

  • Familiarity reading engineering drawings.

  • Ability to fulfill up-to 90-day rotating OCONUS assignments at the JTAGS sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior missile warning program experience (i.e., JTAGS, SBIRS, AMP, etc.)

  • Training or advanced knowledge specific to Cisco, NetApp, HP servers, and Dell servers.

  • Experience formatting/imaging hard drives, managing backups.

  • Familiarity and understanding of networking protocols VLANs, routing, subnets, network switching, network attached storage, firewall appliances, intrusion detection devices.

  • SATCOM antenna experience.

  • Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of standard mechanical tools.

  • Familiarity with COMSEC principles and cryptographic equipment.

  • Prior experience providing on-site technical (HW/SW) support.

  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex system issues.

Salary Range: $78,500 - $117,700

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
