Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a Model Based Systems Engineer 3. This position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program risks and obtain solutions to include allocation of resources
Supporting requirements development and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system
Participating in system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and technical documentation
Reviewing system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
Performing system modeling using MBSE tools and techniques to define system interfaces, requirements and behaviors and provide support to system design
Participating in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions, commercial hardware or software components, and preferred course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery
Supporting the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing, and performing analysis of integration results to assess system impacts
Providing review and analysis support to the test team development and conduct of formal testing
Participating in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor is appropriate
Participating in project technical risk analysis and mitigation
Assisting in planning and conduct of site operator and maintainer training
Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 5 years of Systems Engineering experience; or 3 years experience with a Masters degree in science, engineering or related discipline
Active Secret clearance is required for this position
Familiarity with MBSE/SysML modeling tools
Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
There is no relocation for this position. This position is contingent upon funding and/or award.
User work experience with DOORS requirements database
Experience with PTC Integrity Modeler
System performance modeling using Python, MatLAB, or similar tools
Familiarity with Agile software development methodology, software development languages and scripting
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment
Self-starter - efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent tasks
Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Flexibility to travel for customer requirements
