Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

The Cybersecurity / Information Security Engineer will be responsible for:

Working as part of an integrated team to satisfy cybersecurity requirements of networks and systems within the space domain, i.e., across ground, communications, and space segments.

Preparing and executing test procedures to verify compliance with security control requirements.

Conducting system vulnerability and patch management activities.

Conducting security scanning and hardening activities on Windows and Red Hat operating systems and various COTS/GOTS applications, include those within virtualized environments.

Developing and implementing quality RMF products including information security continuous monitoring plans.

Qualifications:

US citizen and must hold an active Top Secret clearance.

MS degree and 7-10 years of IA or Cybersecurity experience, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.

Current DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification (i.e., CASP CE, CISSP (or associate) or CSSLP).

Recent experience implementing RMF assessment and authorization processes.

Excellent technical document preparation skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders ranging from technical staffers up to senior program managers.

Hands-on experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), HBSS, ACAS, and host-based security applications.

Experience remediating, mitigating, and reporting cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

Travel up to 10% (within CONUS and less than one week at a time)
