Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Field Technician to help support a program located in Colorado Springs, CO. The field technician will perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas providing field support on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program.
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems
Works from engineering drawings, technical manuals and written or verbal instructions
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; maintain maintenance records
Minimum 8 years of related technical field experience with a HS diploma or minimum of 6 years with an Associate's degree (or other 2 year technical diploma)
Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
US Citizenship and must hold an active SECRET security clearance
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to various military installations, Northrop Grumman Corporation locations and other company locations to include outside the United States
Operational and/or maintenance experience with DoD radar systems, preferably BMEWS, PAVE PAWS and PARCS
Ability to perform tasks using written instructions and processes
Previous experience working with customers such as the USAF/DoD
