The Missile Defense Solutions (MDS) Business Unit (BU) is looking for a Systems Engineer (1/2) to support IRADs in the Colorado Springs location to support Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis of existing and new military systems.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
This requisiton can be hired at an associate (level 1) or (Level 2) Systems Engineer.
Level 1: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited institution with 2+ years of relevant work experience, or masters with 0 years of experience.
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Experience developing software in C++ in a Linux environment
Utilization of debugging tools and testing mechanisms.
Experience working in an Agile Software Development project
Demonstrate adherence to applicable software development processes and procedures
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Understanding of communication networks
Demonstrated experience developing software in C++11 and/or C++14
Experience with Makefiles
Understanding of secure coding practices
Experience with GUI Development
Level 1: Salary Minimum: $60,800 - Salary Maximum: $91,200
Level 2: Salary Minimum: $74,240 - Salary Maximum: $111,360
