Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principle Mission Assurance Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.
The selected candidate will be working as a quality engineer to support composite production on the Joint Strike Fighter Program. This is a Weekend Shift position Weekend Shift Fri-Monday. 8 hours Friday and Monday, 12 hours Saturday and Sunday. Start time 7am
Support manufacturing of composite aerospace components on Material review board (MRB) parts during Weekend shift.
Work closely with operations personnel to develop manufacturing and inspections solutions. As well as solve production issues in hand layup, secondary bonding, autoclave cure, machining, NDI, assembly, and final inspection processes.
Learn and understand requirements to determine product impacts and recommend disposition of the parts.
Work in a cross functional team to develop and implement process improvements.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a manufacturing shop environment and be able to collaborate closely with process engineers, quality engineers, operations personnel and other support functions.
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and a minimum of 6 years of experience working in a technical environment
Knowledge of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques
Functional knowledge of production control systems (ex: SAP/Visual Mfg/etc.)
Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications
Experience in working with aerospace specifications and drawings
Experience supporting an aerospace manufacturing process with the necessary materials, tooling, and equipment
Experience in supporting MRB processing
Experience in Quality Assurance and processing MRB
Composite processing experience
