Northrop Grumman Principal or Sr. Principal Software Engineer in Clearfield, Utah

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Software Engineer Agile Scrum Master. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah and will support Live Mission Operations Center (LMOC) program.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Clear obstacles from the team, and protecting the team from interruptions and distractions.

• Address team dynamics, and ensuring a good relationship between product owner and team.

• Coach the scrum team to adhere to the Agile principles and good DevSecOps practices.

• Responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.

• Ensure responsiveness of applications.

• See through a project from conception to finished product.

• Meet both technical and consumer needs.

• Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

• Utilize strong organizational and project management skills.

• Collaborate with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met.

• Perform software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous deliver in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices.

• Perform code quality management and correct defects.

• Design and develop APIs.

• Coordinate with Hardware and Software team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected.

• Use experience to build automation tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI or Circle CI.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) related discipline with 5 years of experience; Master's in STEM with 3 years of experience.

OR

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) related discipline with 9 years of experience; Master's in STEM with 7 years of experience.

AND

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance.

• Candidate should have: Strong experience with build automation tools.

• Strong experience with deployment automation tools.

• Experience with working in a fast pace, agile environment with the ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery.

• Experience with Java/C/C++ development and/or front-end web development including JavaScript Frameworks, HTML, and CSS.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

• Familiarity with distributed version control software.

• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe for Lean Enterprises.

• Experience in Scrum Team roles, either as a Scrum Master or Product Owner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe for Lean Enterprises.

• Experience in Scrum Team role as either as a Scrum Master or Product Owner.
