Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Chemical Handler - Level 1/2 to join our team in Clearfield, UT .

Chemical Handler Job Responsibilities;

Performs a variety of tasks in the controlling and monitoring of chemicals within the company facility or manufacturing production organization in accordance with federal, state and local regulations such as EPA Clean Water Act and DOT Toxic Substances Control Act. Monitors chemicals, related equipment, and waste system indicators; makes chemical and equipment adjustments to ensure proper system functioning and chemical solution balance; removes and disposes of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids; inspects hazardous waste production and storage units; and maintains operational logs. Cleans up chemical spills. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Must have a good understanding of chemicals (acids, bases, oxidizers, flammables, reducers, water-reactives) in a variety of forms (liquids, solids, gases, sludges, slurries) and related incompatibilities to prevent undesirable chemical reactions. Work is performed in occasional hazardous working conditions and requires the use of specialized safety equipment and apparatuses.

Qualifications Level 1:

  • High school diploma and zero years of experience

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD clearance

Qualifications Level 2:

  • High school diploma and two years of experience

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD clearance

Salary Range: $37,700 - $62,800

Salary Range 2: $44,800 - $74,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
