We are seeking cleared or clearable Sr. Principal RF Electronic Systems Engineer for a critical role in our Systems Engineering Group as key contributors to the successful completion of projects. Professionals who want to solve the puzzles that make a difference to our nation's security.
Systems Engineers are focused on ensuring the complete, overall design and implementation of low Size, Weight and Power (SWAP) communication and sensor systems. Achieving results in our customers' challenging environments while demonstrating Xetron's significant technical capabilities in meeting customer needs. Our typical program teams are small (5 - 10 people) requiring our Systems Engineers to have a broad and diverse skillset that apply to the entire lifecycle of a program. Systems Engineering can include other responsibilities including System Architecture, Modeling & Simulation, and team lead.
This position allows the candidate to have direct contact with our end customers and end operators of our products enabling pragmatic and early feedback from the user community during the design process. The campus has a wide range of products spanning multiple technologies such as SIGINT sensors, low SWAP communication transceivers, and EW solutions. Our products must survive various harsh environments including terrestrial, airborne, and space. A demonstrated track record developing technical solutions with ingenuity and creativity is expected.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
9 years' engineering experience with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Science or related discipline OR 7 years' engineering experience with Masters in Electrical Engineering, Science or related discipline OR 4 years' engineering experience with PhD in Electrical Engineering, Science or related discipline
This position requires significant experience in one or more of the following:
System Architecture
Modeling and simulation
Integrated circuit and electronics design
Requirements derivation & flow down
Leading system and/or subsystem design
System integration testing
Verification and Validation
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
RF domain experience covering VHF through microwave frequencies
Significant technical contribution in RF hardware (receivers and transmitters), DSP design, RF communication, signal collection, and/or EW programs
Experience in designing complex system architectures
Understanding of the challenges in designing systems to survive in harsh environments including terrestrial, airborne, and space
Ability to create and analyze waveform models
Experience in SWAP design challenges
Active Top Secret Clearance
Master's / PhD in a relevant field
This position offers the option of a 9/80 work schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
