We are seeking a cleared or clearable RF Electronics Engineer as key a contributor to the successful completion of projects. Professionals who want to solve the puzzles that make a difference to our nation’s security.
Essential Functions:
Design and build custom RF and electronics hardware
Research, design, develop, and test a variety of RF circuits including amplifiers, filters, mixers, up and down converters, and modulators/demodulators.
Work with cross-functional team members to develop these circuits into final products and ensure program success
Analyze and RF system performance
Help guide and determine technical direction of programs using advanced technical principles, theories and concepts including the development of new principles and concepts.
Perform with no oversight needed to complete assignments.
Handle complex technical issues and resolve them in new and innovative ways.
Act as an advisor to other engineers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Be proficient with the setup and use of RF test equipment.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Engineer:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years’ of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years’ of relevant experience or a PhD in Electrical Engineering and 0 years of relevant experience
Proficient with simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, Spice and MATLAB
Basic knowledge of Digital and RF circuit design
US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance required (NG will sponsor)
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Engineer:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years’ of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 6 years’ of relevant experience or a PhD in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience
Proficient with simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, Spice and MATLAB
Basic knowledge of Digital and RF circuit design
US Citizenship required
Active Top Secret security clearance required
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Experience with schematic and layout tools
Design experience in the Space domain
Experience designing circuitry for microwave frequencies
Understanding of communication principals as well as sensor design methodologies
Ability to design filters and match impedance
Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300
Salary Range 2: $121,000 - $181,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
