We are seeking cleared or clearable FPGA Engineers with DSP knowledge to join the Digital Signal Processing Engineering team. This is a challenging opportunity for a mid-level engineer to join a high performance team of professionals developing leading edge platforms that address a variety of national security threats.

This position requires the ability to apply knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and/or Digital Communications Theory on custom embedded/FPGA platforms. FPGA Engineers define and develop processing algorithms and digital communication systems. Develop designs from requirements, researching FPGA product lines, and integrating new signal and processing technology systems on custom embedded/FPGA platforms. Work with cutting edge FPGA technologies including Altera, Xilinx and others. Utilize high speed interfaces like PCI Express, GigE, and DDR2/DDR3. Systems designed could include: implementation of signal processing with advanced computer hardware; custom RF wave forms; interfacing to custom transceiver hardware; cutting edge EW techniques on custom hardware.

Examples of programs and products executed at Xetron include:

  • Unique waveform communication products.

  • Extremely low power unattended sensors (i.e. low SWaP).

  • Innovative Digital Signal Processing (DSP) solutions.

MSRAD

This position can be filled as either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience OR MS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience OR a PhD in Electrical Engineering and 0 years of experience

  • Experience in FPGA design/development is required (VHDL preferred)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 9 years of relevant experience ORMS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience OR a PhD in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in FPGA design/development is required (VHDL preferred)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MATLAB proficiency (with DSP focus)

  • Experience implementing signal processing algorithms in FPGA

  • QuestaSim experience

  • Active Top Secret clearance
