Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

As part of MA, you will be a member of the team responsible to support the Navigation and Maritime System Division and Land & Avionics C4ISR Division Supplier Quality group for products and services procured by the Mission Systems Sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary role of this position will be to lead Supplier Quality Systems efforts across the Navigation and Maritime Systems business unit. These systems include, but are not limited to SAP (SCAR, Audit, Quality Notification and Quality Clause) Modules, The Sentinel Alert System, and the Quality Assessment Framework. Responsibilities will include:
Promote a culture of quality and establish interfaces and regular communication rhythm with supporting organizations
Partner with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and the Program office to drive strategic supplier selection early in program lifecycle
Work with program office to ensure clear Supplier Quality scope of work definition
Drive supplier quality risk assessments to ensure effective sourcing strategies with capable suppliers
Identify supplier quality requirements, and ensure all requirements are effectively flowed and communicated to suppliers.
Develop and implement supplier quality reviews
Lead supplier quality issue resolution activities
Drive supplier defect escape reductions through structured root cause and corrective action process
Monitor supplier compliance requirements and activities
Actively review supplier audit plan and execution, and provide inputs as required to ensure adequate coverage
Ensure Non-conformance Alerts and other regulatory concerns are being addressed in timely fashion
Bachelor's Degree in STEM/related technical field and 9+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer, OR a Master's Degree in STEM/related technical field with 7+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer, OR a PhD in STEM/related technical field discipline and 5+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer.
Experience developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics.
This position will require occasional in state and out of state travel.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
SAP Business System experience
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certifications
Experience working in the aerospace environment
