Northrop Grumman Software Configuration Analyst 3 or 4 in Chantilly, Virginia

Northrop Grumman Software and Digital Technologies is looking for a highly motivated Software Configuration Analyst to join our fast growing team working on cutting edge SIGINT systems. The Software Configuration Analyst will use the IBM Rational ClearCase tool to setup and maintain a baseline control system and build environment to guarantee product integrity and ensure its reproducibility. Selected candidate will assist in architecting and implementing a ClearCase structure to support an Agile SW development environment; perform builds on a regular basis with provisions for special build requests; support multiple releases and baselines in parallel. Position requires troubleshooting ClearCase issues raised by developers and other CM analysts; improving, optimizing and automating build processes as project life-cycles milestones evolve; working with the IT group to optimize performance and ensure recovery of source code and build servers; creating, customizing, and maintaining build scripts; working with software engineers to ensure compliance of established SCM processes; training software engineers in the use of software CM tools and processes; performing software configuration control board tasks; and collecting software CM metrics, catalog and release 3rd party software. Candidate must be willing to offer CM leadership and consulting to projects within the Engineering Center and STC. Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment and have excellent oral/written communication skills. Will have experience guiding the successful completion of a major program or serving in a project leadership role. Must have the ability to act as a prime technical contact, interacting with senior external personnel. Must have the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems with ingenuity and creativity.

Basic Qualifications:

This position can be filled at level 3 or level 4

Level 3: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, Master's degree and 3 years of experience, PhD and 0 years of experience. For Level 4: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of9 years of experience, Master's degree and7 years of experience, PhD and4 years of experience.

Selected candidate must have 5+ years using and administering ClearCase.

Experience in a software development environment as a software CM analyst; experience in creating/setting up a configuration management environment; worked on Unix, Linux and Windows machines; and performed CM builds.

Scripting experience (i.e. Python, Bash, etc.).

Familiarity with CM Tools (Clearcase).

US Citizenship DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate having Base ClearCase experience; familiarity with CMM/CMMI processes; worked in a Software Product Line environment; previously written SCM procedures; and automated build and deployment tools experience.

Experience working in an Agile development environment as a Scrum Master is highly desirable.

Data Management and Training experience are also desirable.

Experience using Git, VisualSVN, Bugzilla, VersionOne and Jenkins a plus.

Have strong customer interface skills and able to multi-task.

Be a self-starter with strong technical skills and have an ability to learn new technologies quickly.
