Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Systems Engineer who will be a member of a program's Field Support Team. The ideal candidate will manage customer requirements, equipment and software systems needed to fulfill those requirements to include training a user base on how to use the necessary equipment to complete the mission. This exciting opportunity also affords the candidate with an opportunity to let their software development background shine by maintaining and potentially updating existing systems. This position will be based in Chantilly, VA and could require some limited CONUS and/or OCONUS travel .

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and update laptops used in the field for mission critical work.

  • Provide O&M software development support to maintain and potentially enhance customer software systems.

  • Provide training to field users of the specific technical equipment that you help build.

  • Provide support to manage customer field requirements for specific technical equipment

  • Provide procurement support along with operations & maintenance on the equipment

  • Assess requirements, configuration management and software updates needed on all technical equipment

  • Deliver all required technical equipment to the customer organization(s)

  • Interface directly with an exciting customer base.

  • Develops recommended solutions to technical problems as assigned

  • Contributes to the completion of assigned technical tasks

  • Frequently collaborates with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or group

  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and quickly adapt to changing needs/requirements.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience with software development. Note: an additional 5 years' of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Active TS clearance with polygraph

  • Demonstrated experience in digital forensics to include experience with XRY, Cellebrite and other digital & mobile forensic concepts

  • Experience in software development O&M of software systems

  • Experience with at least two software environments: Ubuntu / Linux, OSX, Android, Microsoft 10

  • Experience with multiple programming languages including C#, Python, XAML, Java, .Net Framework, C++, HTML

  • Ability to travel globally and give presentations to customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with development tools including Visual Studios, IOS & Android Emulator, Eclipse, Wireshark, MS Access

  • Proficient in applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to customer technical environment applications.

  • Experience traveling globally and giving presentations to customers

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or information technology (IT)
