The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Global Supply Chain (GSC) Team is offering an exciting career opportunity to support a variety of major defense programs. NGMS is seeking aSupply Chain Subcontract Sepcialist 3 to join its team of PCOs (Procurement Contracting Officials) supporting the acquisition of a wide range of commodities and services for the Space ISR Systems Division.
The individual will be responsible for executing compliant majorsubcontract activities and providing leadership and contractual guidance in support of proposals and programs. Specific responsibilities include collaborating with the NG program teams; interfacing and corresponding with suppliers, developing sourcing/evaluation strategies; coordinating export control/security requirements; preparing and issuing RFPs with appropriate customer flow downs and terms & conditions;proposal evaluation; conducting negotiations to meet program targets; administering resultant compliant subcontracts; ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations and strict adherence to company Purchasing policies & procedures; and maintain proper PO files with correct documentation. Additionally, the SCA is responsible for leadership and management of subcontract modifications, which includes arranging and participating in supplier meetings as well as controlling and reporting supplier progress.
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years (Master's degree and 4+ years) of experience in supply chain, subcontracts, procurement, or contracts.
Working Knowledge of FAR and DFARS
Proven ability to problem solve and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
Prior customer service experience
Ability and interest in working in a high paced, high-volume environment.
Understanding of basic aspects of procurement and subcontracting
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience in DoD contracting
