Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opportunity for a Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Boulder, Aurora, or Colorado Springs, CO with significant travel to include supplier sites. Join the OPIR Exploitation Systems (OES) Operating Unit and work with our team of experts ensuring the development and delivery of systems that keep our world safe.

As a key program team member, the Quality Analyst will engage with all levels of the organization and work collaboratively with functional areas including Program Management, Contracts, Business Management, and Systems Engineering, The Quality Analyst will be an advocate for quality, exercise objective judgment, drive improvements in quality processes, products, and services. The Quality Analyst will report to the Mission Assurance Manager, of the OPIR OES Operating Unit located in Boulder CO.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Quality Analyst will ensure compliance with all quality/mission assurance related contractual requirements, company policies, and sector/division procedures, while contributing to the Program's effective process implementation and execution.

Major areas of responsibility include:

  • Planning, organizing, directing and reporting on all supplier quality-related activities to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements.

  • Assuring the customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained.

  • Conducting programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.

  • Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, and maintaining feedback loops.

  • Spending significant time at subcontractor facilities to ensure success.

This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled as either a Quality Analyst or a Principal Quality Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for a Quality Analyst:

  • Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience supporting mission/quality assurance, supplier/subcontractor quality and/or administration. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Good understanding of software/hardware development and sustainment

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and the possession of excellent communication skills

  • The ability to travel substantially to subcontractor facilities and test sites

  • Active Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Quality Analyst:

  • Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience supporting mission/quality assurance, supplier/subcontractor quality and/or administration. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Good understanding of software/hardware development and sustainment

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and the possession of excellent communication skills

  • The ability to travel substantially to subcontractor facilities and test sites

  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Prior work in OPIR and SBIRS/DSP satellite engineering, use and knowledge of the Missile Defense systems exploitation of OPIR or experience in Multi-Int data fusion.

  • Quality Assurance, Mission Assurance or Process experience in a hardware or software sustainment environment

  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher

  • Good understanding of AS9100 D and/or CMMI quality management system and knowledge of what these standards mean in relation to business

  • Active TS clearance with SCI access
