Northrop Grumman Engineer Quality 4 in Boulder, Colorado
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Engineer Quality 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be based in Boulder, CO.
Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance organization.
Roles and Responsibilities will include a subset of:
Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Auditing quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Ensuring that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Likely working at U.S. military bases for extended periods and potentially traveling out of state for supplier evaluations and acceptance of subcontracted parts.
Reviewing requirement baselines to assure adequate documentation is in place and conforms to program requirements.
Helping coordinate the reviews/inspections of equipment including scheduling and gathering review material.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related STEM field and 9+ years of relevant experience
Prior work experience in a Hardware Engineering environment in an Engineering or Quality Assurance capacity.
The ability to work with all levels of management and the possession of excellent communication skills.
The ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms and around sensitive equipment.
The ability to travel across the state of Colorado to U.S. Military bases where our products are installed
Active Secret clearance.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Prior work in OPIR and SBIRS/DSP satellite engineering, use and knowledge of the Missile Defense systems exploitation of OPIR or experience in Multi-Int data fusion.
Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
AS9100 and CMMI requirements awareness, knowledge of what these standards mean in relation to business processes
Active TS clearance with SCI access
