Northrop Grumman Engineer Logistics in Bethpage, New York

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Product Support team in Bethpage, NY.

Assists in the development of maintenance planning, supportability analysis and logistics support of land-based, aircraft and / or shipboard equipment. Participates in the systems engineering process to influence design for supportability. Works on the team managing the repair process for In-House repairs to include:

Report status on repairs in process

Utilize multiple databases (CAV, SAP, WAWF) as source of data entry, updates, and queries

Report on Repair Turn-Around Time (RTAT) and other repair related metrics

Lead weekly Customer telecoms on repairs status

Coordinate in-house repairs with Life Cycle Sustainment Operations (LCSO), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Lab Cell Managers, and Production OPMs

Candidate will respond to queries from the Customer and NGMS PM regarding Maintenance Philosophies, Repairs and Spares. Understand Part Drawings to help Customer with component inquires. Work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to procure sustainment components requested by Customer. Assist in Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages

(DMSMS) related inquiries. Present repair status during various Program reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (STEM) in a Science/Technology/Engineering/Math or Logistics area of study, 2+ years of experience

Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external customers

Microsoft Office Excel and Word proficient

US Citizen with active Secret levelclearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering analysis and critical decision making

Excellent communication and presentation skills

System Thinking perspective as applicable

Military experience / military maintenance experience a plus

Exposure to SAP a plus

Some knowledge and experience in supply chain management
