Northrop Grumman is seeking aTechnical ServicesProject Manager to join our team in support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Center of Information Technology (CIT) to Support Network Services.
The dedicated manager will manage full Project Life Cycle Management of tasks assigned, document tasks to include all outcomes agreed in Project Plan in accordance with PMBOK. As the Project Manager , you should be able to conduct effective planning by evaluating critical paths, identifying and managing risks, and setting budget priorities. Serve within a multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for implementing information technology solutions in a complex environment.
Oversee financial, personnel, cost and technical performance for the project.
Responsible for managing client expectations and leveraging existing client relationships to develop additional business opportunities.
Lead, coach, and coordinate staff responsible for the intake and processing of all submissions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly status reports are completed with accurate information.
Manage electronic copies of project management plans and templates in Microsoft Office Project or PDF
Document activities as required for NIH
Utilize standard project artifacts, schedules, risks, status dashboards, labor hours and other required documents as directed
Responsible for full project status reporting, creating and submitting weekly project status of non-recurring project tasks
Create and submit monthly project status of in-progress and non-recurring project tasks
Meet with customer to review project status as requested
Document all projects in process to provide high level overview of projects that may impact each other- Review project plan, risk plan, QA plan, requirements management process and configuration management process for project as requested
Execute project plan as authorized
Oversee management of Network Operations
Document and manage all modifications
Validate business process analysis, current state process models, future business capabilities, future process design, functional requirements and requirements traceability matrix
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical discipline
ActiveProject Management Professional (PMP) certification
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder) in order to obtain and maintain required Position of Public Trust clearance
Demonstrated ability to readunderstand technical and non-technical documents
Demonstrated ability to interface with technical and non-technical personnel to be able to participate in the evaluation of system configuration and software
Demonstrated experience with Network Operations
Demonstrated experience with QA processes and compliance
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite to include Microsoft Office Project
