Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our growing team as an Electrical Engineering Manager II at our advanced facility in Beavercreek, OH . We are a unique blend of scientists, engineers, and technicians that specialize in antennas, radomes, electromagnetics structures, and RF testing primarily for aerospace applications. We design and manufacture solutions for our war fighters to keep our country safe and maintain peace on a global scale. Our electrical group is afforded the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art designs, primarily for classified applications, in both team and individual settings. Our employees are equipped with the latest hardware and software tools and advance recurring training to stay on the cutting edge.

Beavercreek is one of a few facilities that allows exposure to the full life cycle of highly technical products. You'll be managing some of the best electrical engineering talent in the country. Our multi-faceted team consists of engineers and scientist with backgrounds in electrical / EM, CEM, RF test, mechanical, structural, thermal, CFD, material science, process, and quality - all located at our Beavercreek location.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse group of highly talented electrical engineers in a dynamic work environment, both virtual and in-person

  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of direct programs, and discretionary efforts while leading the electrical engineering team

  • Coordinating with the engineering manager and site leadership

  • Execution of electrical engineering related functions

  • Holding regular group meetings and employee 1:1 tag-ups

  • Coordination and regular communication with cross-functional engineering groups

  • Setting and managing department goals and objectives

  • Managing employee career development and performance, including engagement

  • Assisting my manger in setting and managing department budgets

  • Coordinating with program management to ensure appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions are developed and executed

  • Author procedures and standards relative to the group's responsibilities

Travel can vary by program and tasks but is typically very minimal.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 9+ years of relevant work experience or 7 Years with a Masters Degree.

  • Prior experience in a management OR leadership role, relevant to field of RF Microwave design engineering

  • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Engineering management experience

  • Experience with Aerospace design and development including Low Observables (Stealth)

  • Experience conveying technical information

  • Familiarity with EM software analysis tools (e.g. HFSS, CST, FEKO)

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD (e.g. 461/462/464/810 and DO-160)

  • Experience with product realization

  • Basic composite materials experience
